Self Help Groups
Would you like to start the journey away from aggressive thoughts and violent impulses?
Do you have difficulty in expressing your anger in a healthy and safe way?
Swansea Mind's Self-Help project is offering a seven week 'Managing Anger’ course.
All applicants will be required to undergo an initial assessment.

Self Harm Support Group
A self help support group for adults over 18 years of age who self harm, takes place in the Swansea Mind Centre, 66 St. Helens Road, every Wednesday between 11.00am and 1.00pm.
The group helps people to explore their own reasons for self harming in a safe non-judgemental environment.
'New Beginnings'
A self help support group for people who experience general mental health issues, including anxiety and depression.
The group, which will help people who want to work towards positive emotional and mental wellbeing, is held every Tuesday from 2.00pm – 4.00pm.
Women's Emotional Support
A support group for women runs on Fridays 12.00pm - 2.00pm.
Survivors of Childhood Abuse
This self help support group is for people who have experienced childhood trauma or abuse. It runs on Mondays between 10am and 12 noon.
The group is facilitated by a trained counsellor.
Anyone interested should contact Swansea Mind for an assessment.
LGBTQ Support Group
This is a support group for people who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgendered, and those who are questioning their sexuality and/or gender.
