MDF - The BiPolar Organisation Cymru
The MDF meets at Swansea Mind on the first Thursday of every month.
MDF is a user-led mental health charity run by and for people affected by bipolar disorder.
They provide help and support to all affected by bipolar disorder (manic depression), whether sufferers or relatives and friends.
They aim to:
- Support and develop self help opportunities for people affected by bipolar (manic depression).
- Expand and develop the information services about manic depression.
- Influence the improvement of treatments and services to promote recovery.
- Decrease the discrimination against, and promote the social inclusion and rights of people affected by manic depression.
Membership Benefits include a quarterly UK journal, Self Management training courses, 24 hour legal advice line, travel insurance scheme and life assurance scheme.
